Through the Years
Franchise History
Founded in 1933 by Art Rooney and still owned by the Rooney family. The Steel Curtain dynasty won four Super Bowls in six seasons (1974, 1975, 1978, 1979) with Terry Bradshaw and the greatest defense of its era, then added Super Bowl XL in 2005 and XLIII in 2008. The gold hard-hat logo is recognized worldwide.
