About the Team
New England's dynasty franchise, winner of six Super Bowls — tied for the most in NFL history — during the two-decade Brady–Belichick era.
Through the Years
Franchise History
Founded in 1960 as the Boston Patriots, one of the AFL's charter clubs, and moved to Foxborough in 1971 with the Patriots name. After early wandering years, the franchise became the sport's modern standard: Super Bowl titles in the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, and 2018 seasons, including the only 16–0 regular season in 2007.
