Through the Years
Franchise History
Founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans of the AFL, moved to Kansas City in 1963 by Lamar Hunt, and won the final AFL-NFL World Championship (Super Bowl IV) after the 1969 season. Five decades later the Mahomes era brought Super Bowls LIV (2019) and LVII (2022) plus a streak of consecutive AFC championship appearances.
