The NFL's youngest franchise, bringing professional football back to Houston after the Oilers' departure.
Through the Years
Franchise History
Began play in 2002 as the league's 32nd franchise, founded after the Oilers moved to Tennessee in 1997. The Texans built consistent playoff contenders through stars like J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins, and the deep-steel blue and battle red identity reflects Texas pride. The franchise is still seeking its first Super Bowl appearance.
